So this was my first ever auction, I enjoyed it but I am by no means an expert and I definitely have a few holes in the lineup

Also, I'm currently carrying 3 QB's so if someone has an idea of which one to drop thatd be superb

QB1 - Philip Rivers

RB1 - Frank Gore
RB2 - Pierre Thomas

WR1 - Brandon Marshall
WR2 - Steve Smith (NYG)
WR3 - Hines Ward

TE1 - Jason Witten

FLEX - Roy Williams

K - Nate Kaeding

So obviously I have some holes, I'll get rid of one of my defense's and one of my quarterbacks.

Should I check the waivers for a different WR4?

Its a 14 team league, PPR

Also, I was thinkin about looking into trying to handcuff Gore because he's a bit injury prone

Not a bad team. Is this a redraft? Nothing wrong with holding the QBs for now unless you need the roster spot. Depending on your scoring system, Stafford was actually a bit better than Orton and Ryan but he missed games so his numbers are skewed. I wouldnt be happy counting on Roy Williams, but its hard to know who else is available that would be better. I would probably try to add Dixon for Gore insurance and drop the Dolphin D.

Other than your flex and WR3 the team is damn good. How many teams are in this league? With the QB's you got I really think someone will come looking for one of them once the season gets under way. You may find a trade partner quickly. Nice team for your first time doing an auction.

and mike its a 14 team league so its somewhat deep, I think my team is pretty good, i didn't overspend or anything on anyone either so thats a plus

Yah ship, that is a nice team. I agree with the others that I would look to bolster WR4 (Im talking about Roy Williams btw, Benn is a solid backup imho) and get the Dixon handcuff to Gore but otherwise that is one hell of a team.

The QB spot, I would keep Stafford as the QB2, two reasons, 1. Rivers will be your horse and will play each week unless something bad and unforeseen happens, 2. Stafford has more upside than Smith imho..neither will unseat Rivers but if you have to go to backup, I think Stafford has waaay more upside. In the interests of full disclosure, I am a HUGE UGA fan, which is where Stafford played in College...

I went out and picked up Dixon yesterday so thats taken care of..there aren't a ton of options for a WR4 that are any better than Williams however..

Louis Murphy

Earl Bennett
Michael Jenkins

are any of those guys worth getting rid of Williams for?

I think Burleson is better than Williams, but I might be in the minority. Murphy should have a good season as well.

I agree with you on both points but Burleson would be my first pick from that list.
