Thread: Fantasy Football Keeper League #Draft

  1. Rate It Fantasy Football Keeper League #Draft

Alright here it is something you all have been waiting for my keeper league draft. I kept Steven Jackson, Philip Rivers, Dallas Clark

I had pick #2 and #13 did not have a 3rd or a 4th round pick but some extras in the 5th and 6th round.

The draft did not pan out in the first 13 picks like I wanted it to and did not snag a top tier WR and I did not feel the value at 13 was worth it to take a WR which it may have hurt me at that position but I kind of like the team as it sits right now. We still have 12 rounds to go so I will update and ask for opinions on which are I should go after next.

QB - Phillip Rivers, Matt Cassel
RB - Steven Jackson, Thomas Jones, Pierre Thomas, Leon Washington, Deangelo Williams
WR - Braylon Edwards, Dexter McCluster, Devin Thomas, Mike Williams (TBB), Golden Tate (TS)
TE - Clark, Winslow, Jared Cook (TS), Jermaine Gresham (TS)
    ST -
    DL - Avril, Suggs
LB - London Fletcher, Jerod Mayo, Ray Lewis, Daryl Washington (TS), Dhani Jones
    DB -

    Starting Requirements
QB, RB, RB, WR, WR, WR, FLEX (WR/RB), TE, ST, DL, DL, LB,LB,LB, DB, DB, FLEX (DL/LB/DB)

Scoring NLS 1 Scoring, PPR, TE Bonus PR, Bonus on length of TD.

Give me your thoughts on it please.
    DB -

The only old LB you are missing is Methusala

    QB is solid
    RB is solid
WR is not solid unless Williams and/or Tate break out. I think Williams will save you but not sure about Tate
TE is stacked, you will want to flip this into a WR1 imho
    DL is solid
LB could not possibly get any older...Before you pull the trigger on Singletary, he is a Coach now!!! Not a player. Seriously, they are old but they are pretty safe bets to be good and Mayo is still young and Washington is a Rookie but at this point you need them all to start for you.

Id focus on LB depth, WR sliders/sleepers (that fell below their adp/well you know what I mean by sleeper), and a QB backup for your next few picks

I was hoping to flip a TE into something was thinking about a deal with Winslow, RB and a WR or something to get a WR#1. When I got Winslow REALLY late I was sitting there between crap and crap at WR or Winslow and just figured I could get value out of him later down the road or before this draft is over.

Added Dhani Jones and Matt Cassel with my last 2 picks. Needed a bye week QB and filled it nicely with Cassel. Jones I am not sure on kind of rush pick but I think he will be fine again in the middle for Cincy. We shall see.

Nice, and I think you did the smart thing in taking KWII rather than a WR4 or 5 caliber WR. Jones is a backup for you but Id still be looking for more LB depth..

I will always hit some sleepers on the defensive side of the ball do most years and I know one guy that I really want that I think I can get in my next back to back spots. Do I double up on LB's? Go after a WR/CB with my second pick? DB's are a crap shoot at this point and I may wait until my last couple of picks (final 3) to snag my DB's

Plenty of DBs will be around I am sure, any WR sleepers out there you like? You might be able to find a break out guy that could sure things up there. I also think you will have the chance to trade a RB or TE for a WR at some point.

I am already looking for trades but I think I am going to be looking at a trade with a TE more towards the first couple of weeks of the season when owners say DAYUM TE's are valuable in this league

Not sure on WR's give me some names and I can let you know who is available or not.
