    Default Favorite Android Apps

Please share your favorite Android Apps here, with a brief description of what it does and why its so useful. Please don't post IPhone stuff here, only Android/Droid applications please.

Assistant: Wow, this application is amazing. You can sync all your accounts (mortgage, credit cards, utilities, frequnt flyer miles. Netflix....anything). Tracks your balances, due dates, etc

Fantasy Guru: Currently only controls Yahoo leagues, but it let's you do everything in a convenient app. Trade, FA, set lineup, post messages, everything. I haven't been on Yahoo since I got this app.

Radar Now: one click and your phones GPS will sync with local radar to show you what's going on, and what's headed your way.

Where: Find hotels, restaurants, theatres, etc. Uses your phones GPS to determine your location, then finds all locations you are looking for.

Pandora: Streaming music that automatically tailors to your liking. Awesome.

Flixster: anything and everything about movies. Release dates, local theatres showtimes, trailers, even syncs with your Netflix account so you can add/change your queu.

Paypal: All your paypal info in one easy place. Pay money, receive money, do it all from one screen.

Quick office: excel, pdf, word. Use any of these files, anytime.

Will add more later, please share yours.

have to check out fantasy guru....

The apps I seem to use the most are:

Cardio Trainer - you can track workouts through here...can do walking, running, cycling....I throw it in my pocket when I go for a run...times you, tracks distance, and gives you a pace.

Where - you pretty much listed what it does above. Also has the features that you can search for a business, and then it gives you the ability to call them or GPS will lead you to it.

Task Killer - lets you which apps are running and close out some that aren't being used. Easy way to make sure you don't have a bunch of crap running.

DirecTV - can view what's coming on (search by show/movie title or by channel). YOu can also order pay per view events, movies, etc. through here. You can also set a show to record (or record the series).

Facebook app - self explanatory...easy to see what's going on in Facebook land through a nice easy to use menu.

Apps Organizer - allows you to categorize apps (You can create your own categories...I use games, internet, multimedia, sports the most). THen you can send the icon for that category to your "Desktop" and when you click it, it opens menu of all apps under that label.

Weather Channel - You can set your home location but GPS will follow you and throw up the weather conditions wherever you might be. Sends alerts to your notification bar if any warnings or anything going on. For example I currently have an alert that when clicked on lets me know all about the heat advisory. I use a widget on this one...stays on my home screen with the current temp., high/low for current day and following day.

Express news - pulls from various news sources to give you up to date news...also can create widgets for different categories (Breaking news, politics, sports, etc).

KC Baseball News - you can get this for any team...if you leave it running it will give you an alert (mine has a KC logo in status bar) every time a new story is posted somewhere...usually in my case from official team site or kansas city star.

    Great Thread HT,

    I use

    ESPN ScoreCenter
Shazam (which tells you the name of any song playing)
Ringdroid - lets you cut up songs to make a ringtone, pretty good app
BarCode Scanner - use the camera to scan a barcode and you can find better prices at different stores, online, etc.

Thanks to What for the Sig!

also one I forgot to mention is Sportstap which has every game of every sport going on...you can check scores, box scores, etc. Can also set a few favorite teams to receive alerts on when they are playing. Great sports app to get everything from one place.

    Good stuff guys....sportstap is awesome!

Barnacle WiFi Legacy: Booh yeah! Let's your Android supply internet capability to any computer! This requires that you know how to root though.

Phonemypc: This is an App that actually costs money, but is well worth it. I can connect to my home PC at anytime and get ANY file, song, picture....anything! It's fantastic and well worth the $10 one time fee.

So many apps on my phone rite now........

never seen fantasy guru, gonna have to check that out

Beautiful Widgets - It's a pay app like $3 I believe but it let's you customize the weather widgets and all the wifi, gps etc. widgets.

Launcher Pro - One f the best apps available imo. Let's you completely customize the phone, can add screen (up to 7 I believe) only downfall is at the moment the sense UI widgets don;t work with it but if you have Beautiful Widgets it's like having a completely new phone

Handcent SMS - Text messaging app, I like a lot more then the stock one. Completely customizable.

    Browns News - Pretty obvious

Bump - Allows you to transfer apps, contacts and other information between phones just by bumping them together

Drink Recipes - Exactly what it says, plus it's free and the amount of drinks is limitless

E! Online - Entertainment app, good when your sitting around with nothing to do

    TMZ App - see above

Google Maps, GoogleEarth and Google Sky Map - All amazing apps. Google sky is very cool, allows you to look at the sky and tells you what stars and constellations your looking at

Movies - Great movie app, watch trailers, look up new releases and view show times

NFL Mobile - Verizon app, new update made it very sweet, you can now watch NFL Network at all times as long as you have Vcast but I believe its free for the month of August. Will be able to Live Stream NFL games on Thursday which I though was pretty bad ass

    Ohio State Football - Obvious

    Pandora - Best music app

PNC Mobile - Great banking app if you use PNC Bank

Score Mobile - Way better then ESPN imo.

    Youtube - Is youtube

Toss It - My favorite game so far lol

Flikie Wallpaper - Best wallpaper app I've found, tons of HD pics and is updated all the time. I don't go more then a week with the same wallpaper.

    P.S. Android is the shit

Also I just got my Froyo update, the 2.2 OS, anyone else get it yet? It's awesome Internet is even faster, more widgets, the speed of the phone is quicker, new boot screen, tons of improvements, loving my Incredible even more today!
