Yes, no TE required. so basically after the top 3 or 4 TE, there's no need to bother.

I'm thinking the same thing on Bowe, mj. I like his upside and he seems to be more into it this year, but I think I will try and get him cheaper in the auction.

I think with this setup, Id lean to re-sign Bowe, I think Id stand pat with Rice personally Ive liked him ever since he came out. And you got Berrian.

I decided to drop Flacco, but before I did, I shopped him. Best offer I got was pick 2.01 and jason campbell, who gas a $2 salary. Is he worth keeping for $2? I think he might be.

I wonder if you should try and move Brees? Flacco is a solid QB and at half the price....he should only improve with Boldin as a new target as well.

Dump Addai immediately. Maybe dump Shonn Greene (I like him well enough but not at that price and not with the cap issues you have).

I'd probably dump Bowe as well...I like him to bounce back though, but too risky at that price. He worked out with Larry Fitzgerald this summer and I guess Fitz is saying to watch out for Bowe this year...but at $14...he didn't show anything last year to warrant that price tag.

    That leaves you with:

    QB
    Joe Flacco - $13

    RB
    Tashard Choice - $4
    Felix Jones - $17

    WR
    Miles Austin - $27
    Bernard Berrian - $1
    Mario Manningham - $2
    Brandon Marshall - $27
    Sidney Rice - $22

    TE
    Jason Witten - $13
    Jared Cook - $2

    K
    Jeff Reed - $1

    Def
    Minnesota - $3

Sitting at $132 here....if you can trade Brees for someone you'd obviously get some salary back in the trade...but try to trade down in cost and pick up a cheaper QB to pair with Flacco or maybe a cheaper RB. Even if you only save $10, you'd still only be at $142 at that point.

Oops I didn't read page 2 of the thread....looks like you dumped Flacco so disregard my advice.

And yeah...since you don't have to start a TE, drop Cook as well...only saves you $2 but every little bit helps.

    Good analysis fletch, thanks.

With Rice hip injury, I'm thinking of dropping him. No one will trade for him, they are all scared of his injury and the possibility of favre retiring. Maybe I could get him cheaper?

Only reason I say trade Brees is due to cost and the fact that if you shop him for a RB, you could greatly improve yourself at that position....and I think Flacco is probably a top 10 guy this year, so you'd definitely drop off at QB, but have half the cost for your starter.

Thats a horrible idea to drop Rice, this is an uber WR league which has me thinking of bringing back Bowe, but Rice is a no brainer to re-sign

Yeah I would of taken that deal $2 for a backup is a good deal plus the pick, why in the world would you take nothing over something?

I agree that would have been a good deal...pick the top of round 2 and a backup QB at a fraction of the cost....pretty solid trade offer right there.
