OK, this is a straight salary league, $200 cap. After raises are put in (raises are based on performance from prior year, which is why I am over $200 right now), you can keep as many players as you want but you can't go over $200. I will obviously have to release some people and go into the auction. I won this league last year, so let me know what you would do.
Rule highlights:
Starting lineup:
1 QB
1-3 RB
1-5 WR
0-2 TE
1 K
1 DEF
As you can see, it's basically 1 RB, 1 WR and 4 FLEX.
All TD's = 6
Reception = 1
rush/rec yards = 1 for every 10
pass yards = 1 for every 25
Scoring ranks last year:
11 top 30 are WR
5 top 30 are RB
14 top 30 are QB
My current team and salary
QB
Drew Brees - $30
Joe Flacco - $13
RB
Joseph Addai - $15
Tashard Choice - $4
Shonn Greenne - $24
Felix Jones - $17
WR
Miles Austin - $27
Bernard Berrian - $1
Dwayne Bowe - $14
Mario Manningham - $2
Brandon Marshall - $27
Sidney Rice - $22
TE
Jason Witten - $13
Jared Cook - $2
K
Jeff Reed - $1
Def
Minnesota - $3
That equals $215, so I have to dump enough players to get under $200, then still leave enough to fill any empty slots in the auction coming up.
I won this league last year with Brees and my WR's. I think that will be my strategy again.
Who should I drop? I know some might say Flacco, but QB's go insane at the auction and no way would I get him at that price, or anything equivalent. Also, who do you think might be the best trading chips? I could move an expensive player for a cheap one, but this league has very savvy owners, who would think is the most appealing that won't kill me to lose?
