Jason Campbell the Starter Amazing

Jason Campbell will enter training camp as the starting quarterback of the Raiders.

Oakland coach Tom Cable confirmed the decision on Wednesday.

Bruce Gradkowski, who missed the last three months with a torn pectoral muscle, will be Oakland's backup.

If Gradkowski had a little stronger arm I think he'd be a pro bowl QB, I mean still I dont think Campbell is clearly better than him.

What is so amazing about that? I think Campbell is the best option that OAK has had since the old guy, Gannon, retired...

I think Campbell is the solid play in Oakland. In his last three years (all three full seasons as a starter) his completion % has gone up, he's thrown for more yards, more yards per game, and his QB rating has improved in each of those seasons as well.

The guy is no Pro Bowl QB and definitely not a top fantasy option...but he's got a strong arm and Oakland always wants to have that vertical passing game...so maybe it's a good fit for him.
