    Exclamation Draft - Timer Change

Alright folks, we've gota little over 7 rounds to go. I am proposing that we shorten the clock to 2 or 3 hours per pick (I prefer 2 hours) starting at 5:00 p.m. ET on Thursday to run the duration of the draft, which I hope to finish sometime Saturday afternoon. Please post your concerns/preferences in this thread.

    Thanks!

    Owner Preferences
    1) HT - 3 hour timer or BPA if no list left
    2)

I'm fine with that, although my pick would just have to most likely be off the ESPN list or something.

Mine too, there's no way I can make a deadline like that.

Would require a little more predrafting. People could provide a list of players or of best available/best available by position of need or whatever works best for them.

Unfortunately it's getting to the point we need to shorten it. Want to get that information settled and out there for everyone as soon as possible.

I'm open to other suggestions and options. Trying to avoid 3-4 owners speed drafting for everyone on Saturday like last year. I will still need to finish loading rosters/sending invites and get FCFS waivers opened up before Sunday's game.

Pre-drafting is fine for 4-5 picks in advance, anything more than that doesn't work to well.
Is there anyway to do a partial auto draft?

Not to my knowledge, maybe Mike can speak to that he's more familiar with ESPN baseball. Been afew years since I've run a football league there, but the site dictates the day and time for live drafts if I remember correctly, so we could be hosed in that respect.

If we could get owners to commit to a block of time Wed, Thur or Friday night or sometime on Saturday we would be able do the same thing here. I'm agreeable to that idea as well.

U cant have an offline draft and a auto draft, or that would be great. Id say 3 hour limit or bpa if no list left, most teams have all there starters by now, just filling bench roles and sleepers.

I'm updating the first post in the thread with owner preferences. We'll give everyone some time to weigh in and I'll base the decision on feedback received around 5:00 p.m CT today.

Another thought based on HT's response, we could also cut the draft a round or two early and let people fill rest of roster through FCFS if need be.
