With the 6th pick in the NFL Draft:

The Seahawks select Trent Williams - OT - Oklahoma

This may come as a shock to most fans, but the Pete Carroll era has begun in Seattle! The Carroll idea of offense is hit you in the where you don't expect and run the clock. Williams provides that type of physicality that Carroll expects out of his linemen. Be quick, be moble, push your defernder back!

With the 7th pick in the NFL draft the Cleveland Browns select:

    Joe Haden, CB, Florida

The Bowns could go in a number of directions here. With a young QB and a couple of wide receivers taken early in last year's draft I think they go with the Haden. In Haden, Cleveland gets a top ten talent and the best corner in the class. Paired with Eric Wright the team would have the best tandem of young cover guys in the league.

I really think Haden would be the best choice for the Browns. Although he is not Revis he is pretty close. The only thing that scares me with him is he is a bit on the shorter side.
Anyone want to start another league next year? PM Me if interested.

    8. Oakland (5-11) selects Bruce Campbell OT Maryland

This guy is a beast and adding him could very well allow Al Davis to get a little something-something from his skill position players he has invested his last 10 RD1 picks on. Ok so not quite 10 and I agree it is a stretch at this point to refer to Jam Russell as skilled at anything other than failing miserably. Now failing miserably is something he and Al Davis have in common.

Odds are that some workout wonder with no football IQ or hands will impress Davis at the Combine and get drafted in RD1 by the Raidahs, as the complement to Heyward-Bey the WR that OAK's 2009 RD1 pick was wasted on.

With the 9th pick in the NFL Draft the Buffalo Bills select Jimmy Claussen QB Notre Dame.

I am not entirely sold on taking a QB here but the Bills can not pass up on a franchise QB not only for the franchise but it may make TO feel better about himself. I think Claussen has the tools to be a top QB just not sure if he is 100% ready to make the switch yet. I really thought one of the Tackles that I liked would have dropped here but all of them got picked.

With the 10th pick in the NFL Draft the Jaguars select Derrick Morgan - GA Tech.

The Jaguars are on the cusp, but they need a defensive line that can get to the QB. Morgan will make an impact with his pass rush but is also solid against the run.

VIA PM Northwoods and the Broncos select Dez Bryant WR Oklahoma St.

    Analysis to follow

    Hobbs on the clock

With the 11th pick in the NFL draft the Broncos select Dez Bryant, WR, Oklahoma St

With Brandon Marshall's days in Denver most likely numbered, the Broncos go with the best wide receiver in the draft. Bryant is a top 10 talent, who has the potential to be an true #1 target at the next level. Many feel he is just as good of a prospect as Michael Crabtree, if not better.

With the 12th pick in the NFL draft the Miami Dolphins select:

    Rolando McClain, LB, Alabama

The Dolphins need a WR1 option and that is certainly an option when they make this pick, I see them waiting on the WR since none stand out enough to invest the 12th overall pick on. However, the MLB from National Champion Alabama is still on the board and they could plug him in the middle next to Channing Crowder for years to come, in the end it depends on how they rate their ILB's since Brandon Spikes from Florida is another possibility with this pick.

With the 13th pick in the NFL draft the 49ers select:

    Earl Thomas | S | Texas

The 49ers need help in the secondary, Dashon Goldson and an aging Michael Lewis is not an ideal situation in a Mike Singletary hit em high, hit em hard defense. Earl Thomas is a punishing safety who is still quick enough to play cover 2. No WR alive will wanna see Patrick Willis and/or Earl Thomas coming down on them.
