This may not be a pick a lot of you guys like but its something I am leaning on right now but I have the Browns taking Jared Odrick with the first pick. Now this maybe a reach but I think he fits the system the best out of all the players out there and would not be surprised if they went this route.

With Holmgren at the helm anything is possible, but I like Eric Berry going here as I think Holmgren wants a big impact player in his first draft for the team and DT is deep enough they could improve at that spot later.

I prey Eric Berry is available and I prey the Browns dont trade up and draft Bradford and dont draft Clausen at all, because of that its very possible Cleveland trades up and gives the Rams the next 14 first round picks and Cleveland doesn't have a first rounder again until 2024. And Bradford tears an ACL in pre-season.

I would say Reggie White was an impact player, and I don't think the Browns go offense like holmgren would normally do there is nothing there other then OL to take at #7 imo, except I guess Clausen, but I am not a big fan of his.

If Berry falls to them they could essentially be getting the guy who deserves to go #1 but won't becuase he is a safety, that would seem like a great pick at that point.

I agree, and would love for Berry to fall to them a #7. If he is off the board, I would be perfectly happy w/ Early thomas as well. Just don't draft a QB in the 1st!

All you Browns fans are so high on these Safety's along with talk radio around here. DB's are a dime a dozen and they are a decent part of the puzzle once the entire front 7 is organized and hell the outsides as well. Not sure why you want a DB to make all your tackles and plays. The reason why you hear Ed Reed and Polamalu alot is because they make big plays because of whats in front of them not because they can run fast and cover someone. Most of the DL is crap in Cleveland as well as the line backing crew. Upgrade key positions before anything else.

I think you are greatly simplifying the role that Reed and Hairamolu play in their defenses! A good safety takes a lot of pressure off of the DBs and the pass rushers. They also act as a field general for the defense! Just look at the difference last year w/ the Steelers defence when Troy was out for a few games. They weren't nearly as affective.

I understand that they do a lot but there are more pressing needs on the Browns then a Safety at this point.
