Thread: Leaving for the Draft too early

  1. NFL Leaving for the Draft too early

I was reading this article on Ryan Mallett Arkansas Razorbacks starting QB this morning. He is playing his first season at Arkansas as a redshirt sophmore which means he will be draft eligible. Now I am no NFL scout but 1 year as a QB is a bit to early if you ask me.

His coaches are saying he needs another year of ball as well. But will this stop him from entering the draft? I doubt it not many players decide that they should wait another year before going pro. Should players be more restricted to staying in school then they are now?T
Anyone want to start another league next year? PM Me if interested.

if he stays for another year he'll be the #1 QB coming out next season imo, I really like this kid

So if he comes out this year where does he fall?

yea I dont really know how he's looked at around the league haven't heard anything about him so I figure with the big names coming out this year at QB and him only having one season in college he would drop quiet a bit

Mallett needs one more year in college, he will be a 1st rounder next year if he maintains the same stats he's putting up this year in the SEC. Plus you have to consider that McCoy, Bradford, and Tebow will all come out this year.

Tebow would not worry me because he is a freaking runningback. McCoy with the arm injury has to throw up some red flags as well. I just do not see this draft as deep as some I guess with quarterbacks especially if Locker stays which I think he is.

We may not think Tebow is a QB but he'll be drafted as one and will be a high pick most likely top 10

No way Tebow goes top 10.
