    Default NLS tailgate menus...

Well with football season only weeks away...it's time to tailgate!!!

So this thread will be your guide to tailgate history. Post some of your favorite recipes here to help our NLS members be a hit with his/her tailgate!

Asian BBQ Chicken: (makes about 4 servings)

    Ingredients:
    • 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
    • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
    • 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
    • 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper
    • 1/4 teaspoon curry powder
    • 3 garlic cloves, minced
    • 8 (6-ounce) chicken thighs, skinned (eat healthy people)
    • Lime wedges (optional)
    • Green onion tops (optional)

    Tools:
    • 1 large Ziplock Plastic Bag
    • Grill
    • Tongs
    • Cooking spray
    • small saucepan

    Preparation:

Combine first 6 ingredients in a large zip-top plastic bag; add chicken. Seal and marinate in refrigerator 4 hours, turning occasionally.

When Ready remove chicken from bag, reserving marinade. Place marinade in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil; cook 1 minute.

Place chicken on grill rack coated with cooking spray (helps with the sticking); grill 20 minutes or until done, turning and basting frequently with the marinade. Garnish with lime wedges and green onion tops, if desired.

Side note: If you don't like lime you can sub with lemon.

Nice idea for sure and the chicken sounds very tasty.

I am not sure if it was here or somewhere else but someone told me to make a taco dip for a party. Well I tried it and I have people asking me to make this for party's. Its easy but takes many ingredients.

I have tried many different things with it from spicy seasoning, to spicy salsa, to adding in jalapenos. Just try something new each time really. Here is the way I do it.

    How to make
    1. Flat pan with sides (sometimes I buy one of those foil lasagna pans so when I take it somewhere and get to drunk I dont need to remember it)
    2. Put 2 cans of bean dip on the bottom of the pan
    3. In a seperate bowl mix a hole sour cream with taco seasoning (almost entire package)
    4. Then either drain a can of salsa or drani a can of tomato with chili's thats what I use. Place sparingly on top of the sourcream. Dont use to much it gets watered down.
    5. Shred your own or buy a bag of shredded lettuce. Place on top
    6. Cut up some of those chili things place on top of the lettuce put as many as you want
    7. Chop up some olives place either on top of lettuce or sour cream
    8. Shred some mild cheddar or use the bag crap place on top to your liking
    9. Throw some olives and chilis on top, grab a bag of tortilla chips and serve

    Here is my recipe:

Call a couple of friends to come watch football. Order a couple of pizzas, rip open a bag of chips. Tell my friends to buy beer on the way over.

    Sit back and enjoy.
