Lawyers for former NFL quarterback Michael Vick are returning to court in Virginia.
They're asking the Surry County Circuit Court to allow Vick to enter his guilty plea on state dogfighting charges via two-way video conference from the federal penitentiary in Leavenworth, Kan.
A hearing on the issue is set for Thursday in Sussex County, where Surry cases are being heard while a new courthouse is being built.
Vick is serving a 23-month prison term after pleading guilty to a federal dogfighting conspiracy.
According to court papers, he would be eligible to transfer to a halfway house for the final six months of his term if he resolve the state dogfighting and animal cruelty charges.
