Dude George you making me want to go there for sure. Was this for work? and from your previous job it looks like you stepped it up with this one

This was a vacation that our main vendor puts on every year. My work knew we would get 1 trip for free so they asked around the office back in spring who would want to go. If you went by yourself it was free but if you brought somone it was a little over 2,000. The girl that got me the job there told me we should both put our names in the hat for the free trip and if either of us get it we take the other person and split the 2,000. Only 1 other person put their name in for the free trip and once he found out what the two of us were planning, he backed out since 2 people from the office could go.
A month before we went we were informed from our vendor that we were very close to gettting the 2nd trip for free and all we needed was for our boss to sign off on a pre-order. I put together a nice little presentation and got him to agree to it......the trip ended up costing us NOTHING.
